Embraer

Embraer, or Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica S.A, is a Brazilian conglomerate which produces many forms of aircraft including commercial, military and corporate. The company headquarters and main production facilities are located in São José dos Campos, São Paulo inside Brazil, and Embraer is one of the three largest exporters in the South American country.

Embraer was formed as a government-owned company in 1969 following other research and experiments in aviation by government entities. The company was not privatized until 1994 after a change in the country's constitution and a massive restructuring of the business as a result. Today Embraer is among the largest aviation companies in the world.
